Founded in 2011 by cousins and sweaty superstars, Jamie King and Alyse Mason Brill, Fit Approach is a passionate community: we bring together over 20,000 influencers, professionals, community groups, businesses, and brands around a shared passion for active living.
Fit Approach is the mothership to:
A community of 5,000 global influencers activating their local and online communities around sweat, food, and life!
A community-centered yoga, bootcamp, and fitness studio headquartered in Portland with plans to expand nationwide.
The premier conference for health and fitness bloggers.
A community of fitness professionals and business owners.
Who we are
The Fit Approach team is full of people accomplishing amazing things. We believe that runches (run + lunch), wearing yoga pants to work, mid-afternoon smoothie breaks, and time to wind down with friends and a cocktail are necessary for a happy team!
- Founders Jamie & Alyse are cousins, girl bosses, and UC Berkeley alumnae. Their first business together was a potpourri stand at age 8
- Fit Approach started as a bootcamp at the Lyon Street Stairs in San Francisco before becoming an online community
- Becky joined the team as a social media intern before her freshman year of college and has #sweatpink’d for four years into her current role as Business Development Manager
- We practice what we preach, believing in the strength of online community interactions - our team works remotely out of Portland, Denver, and Austin (ahem, three of the best places to live and sweat!)

Liz WilsonLiz Wilson’s love of adventure, fitness, community, and photography led her to her role as Community Outreach Manager for Fit Approach. After many years of playing sports and running, she discovered yoga and its powerful yet restorative powers. She completed her 220-hour yoga teacher training after graduating from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. Rather than head straight to law school as originally planned, she moved to a ski town in Colorado to pursue mountain adventures. Four years of skiing later, Liz moved to Portland, OR. Liz’s love of connecting with people and social media savvy led her to pursue a career in social media marketing. Enter a fortuitous meet cute with Jamie King shortly after moving to PDX, where a connection was forged over mutual loves of fitness, instant gratification gramming, #stopdropandyoga-ing anywhere and everywhere, and Portland coffee. Since working for Fit Approach, Liz has created meaningful connections with the ambassador community and brands alike and has been a huge part of the opening of Flex & Flow, Fit Approach’s first yoga and fitness studio based in Portland, OR! Liz loves yoga, handstanding, wine and coffee dates, hiking, and travel.

Jessica LinJessica is a natural connector and thrives on creativity and forging relationships making her a perfect fit for her role as the Fit Approach Brand and Partnership Manager. Jessica hails from DC where she ran the business development department for a health information technology company. She brings with her a strong marketing and business strategy savvy along with her enthusiasm for health and wellness. Her love for movement, sweat and fitness started at a young age with horseback riding and dance. As an adult, that same love sparked her interest in yoga and it’s dance like qualities. She completed her first yoga teacher training in 2014 and the fitness ball never stopped rolling. Her fitness education has continued to grow beyond yoga to include circuit training, boot camp and strength training. Jessica’s biggest dreams are to one day unite the world through fitness and yoga, and to visit and experience all countries in the world.
We believe that kicking ass is best done in pretty shoes. We’ve learned that real women sweat, and sweat hard. We know that assertiveness, strength, and ambition are the ultimate feminine qualities. We concede that sometimes it takes hours to get ready, but we’re also no strangers to just rolling out of bed and going. We’re convinced that we run faster in pink shoelaces. We believe in pushing ourselves, and we believe in giving ourselves a break, too. We’re all about the rush of endorphins and the thrill of the challenge. We’re all for looking great and feeling even better. We’re committed to finding our best fit, and making it stick.
