Lightning Round Vote Winners
Blogging helped me lose 50 lbs
Hello! I’m Kristin! I blog at Exploring Domesticity which started as a place to share my experiences learning all those domestic skills I never quite got the hang of when I was busy completing my masters degree in 2008, buying my first house in 2009, getting married in 2010, having my little guy in 2011, and having my little lady in 2012. By 2013, I was thrown into the roll of Stay-at-Home-Momma and trying to figure it all out.
I have struggled with weight all my life and am determined to do all I can to make sure my kiddos have a better start. I’ve lost quite a bit of weight before, but this time around I am focused on learning all I can to create a healthy lifestyle for myself and my family, and give my young children healthy habits to build upon.
My passion to create healthy habits for my family has emerged and taken the forefront over everything else. With kiddos who ask for broccoli over chicken nuggets, to wear their “running pants”, and do squats, I think we’re doing alright! It’s still a work in progress, and I have learned so much from others, especially the SweatPink community, and I can’t wait to share my experiences with others at BlogFest.

Being led by love rather than fear
Jessica Smith is a life enthusiast! With a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administrations she’s always loved connecting with other people. She currently spreads love and light via her blog Jess’ness Required where she inspires others to connect with their ‘ness. A concept developed by her to express people’s inner guide. Each and every person has a one, simply add ‘ness at the end of your name. Your ‘ness are things that make you tick, excite you, and help to radiate happiness from every pore. Finding ways to ignite your Jean’ness, or Tony’ness might be sweating pink with the fit approach team, or perhaps reading a good book. Maybe you love writing, going to concerts, and throwing parties? It doesn’t matter what it is that connects you to your ‘ness, just that you are doing it. And by that, you are taking care of yourself.
My goal is to help others become more in tune with their loving self and spread light in the world. If you’re interested in connecting further to your ‘ness and want exclusive ‘ness notes for love and encouragement right to your email, please sign here: http://jessnessrequired.com/newsletter
