If you’re just getting started with product reviews and sponsored posts on your blog, or even if you’re an expert at working with brands, you have an incredible opportunity to build your portfolio and increase your blog and potential for monetization.
Here are our top 3 ways to kick ass at your next sponsored post!
If someone stumbles on your review and giveaway post a year from now, it should still offer value.
Instead of a review that just discusses your opinion—or, the worst of all, just quotes the company website—and then offers a giveaway, add something of value for your reader. Create a recipe using the product you’re reviewing. Create a workout using the fitness product. Show how the product fits into your life, and how it might fit into your reader’s life. That way, when someone stumbles on your giveaway in the distant future, they’ll still enjoy and gain something from your post, even if the giveaway ended eons ago.

Take original photos
Don’t just use the photos from the brand’s website or social channels. Get those products in your kitchen, in your gym, and in your face. (Literally: take goofy selfies with products!). Readers love seeing you in action, and how the product fits into your life. Boring product shots are just that: boring.
Share everywhere, then share s’more
