Sweat Pink San Diego has officially launched! The Chapter’s first event was held last Sunday at The Inn at Sunset Cliffs, a picturesque spot in Ocean Beach.
Attendees enjoyed a 75-minute oceanfront yoga class led by IDEA Instructor of the year, Jessica Matthews. It was pure bliss, and the soulful practice was the perfect way to unwind and soak in the sun.
Jessica hosts oceanfront yoga every Sunday for the community, but this class was extra special. All proceeds from the donation-based class were donated to City of Hope San Diego to support research and provide integrative therapies (like yoga and meditation) to those battling life-threatening illnesses. We were so happy to be there to support and raise funds.
Sweat Pink attendees enjoyed snacks from local favorites, Rickaroons and Perfect Bar. A huge thank you to their team for providing yogis with food to refuel after class. What are Rickaroons? Coconut energy bars that taste a bit like dessert. Almond butter, chocolate, and honey—a delicious treat with real ingredients.
On the go: Attendees took home samples from Vital Proteins collagen peptides, sustainably sourced and perfect for adding to a smoothie.
Attendees had some amazing raffle items to choose from:
- Ashley Lane Fitness, an indoor cycling + sculpt studio provided one lucky winner with a one-month unlimited membership ($159 value). The Hillcrest studio offers cycling, barre, yoga, sculpt, boot camp, and personal training.
- Clean & Colorful Kitchen: The Mission Hills based meal prep company makes delicious, wholesome food made from scratch and delivered straight to your door. The team cooks 5 different dishes per week, and one lucky winner received all five, and smoothies ($95 value). A huge thank you to Teresa Howes, the owner, for also joining us for yoga!
- Athleta Shopper Cards: The team at Athleta UTC donated $25 shopper cards for a few lucky ladies.
- Sweat Pink swag: Because everyone looks good in Sweat Pink gear 🙂
Details are in the works for a September event, so stay tuned.
