Whew! What a weekend! I went from happy hour with some lovely ladies from my TRX class (class review coming tomorrow!), to a work party, to hosting a birthday party for one of my nearest and dearest friends, to lugging the keg from that party to Tomales Bay for some oysters and picnicking, to bringing that keg back poolside to continue chipping away at its seemingly endless contents.
No, really. That keg is bottomless, despite the best efforts of some very committed friends. (You know a true friend when they come back for more beer on Monday, after a thoroughly boozy Saturday and Sunday).
Fun, fun, fun. And now that the debauchery is over, I’m feeling a little puffy and tired. I woke up this morning ready to get away from the boozing and the cheeseburgering and the oystering, and to get back into a normal routine. And that’s kind of what I love about rowdy weekends: all that hedonism can be so motivating. I found myself looking forward to my oatmeal and my salad, and looking forward to clearing out my inbox and taking care of some errands.
